THE FRONT-RUNNERS:

Past and Present

In 1988, Rattle Real Estate was founded by husband and wife team David and Anne Rattle. They were joined in 1990 by David's brother Martin, and seven years later, close family friend Greg Walton added a new dimension to what had become the well established, nationally recognised and respected "family" business under a new legend RattleWalton.

Although David and Anne retired from the agency in 2003 and Martin in 2009, the fundamental principles upon which our good name is founded - hard work, honesty and integrity - have been maintained by Greg and new partner since 2010, Jenny Langton. And it is this work ethic which inspires the experienced agents who have joined the RattleWalton team - totally accountable and totally dedicated to providing you whether buyer or seller, with the most professional, the most efficient and the most ethical service possible. That's how we have kept our status as the top independent agency in the Hout Bay valley - a position we have proudly held since 1988, based on a cast-iron reputation.

Qualifications and experience

Between us we hold the following qualifications: CRS (SA), CRS (INT), CIR and EAB as well as membership of the Institute of Estate Agents of the Western Cape. We have more than 75 years solid experience of local property sales and more than 50 years experience in other aspects of marketing.

Purchasing Portfolio

We treat our buyers like visiting royalty. We listen well. We hear what you want. We search with your eyes and network effectively with all other Hout Bay agents - better than a formalised multi-listing service - so you can see a portfolio with us of every available property you could possibly want; or we can choose the top half dozen and save you days - as always, your wish is our command.

Average Sale Time

We sell virtually all our sole mandates within our mandated period usually within 5% of their asking price. Our average sales time per home is between 45 and 60 days in the present tougher market. Our buyers and sellers invariably come back to us when it's time to move because we are honest, straight forward, hard working and successful.

Market Profile

Our name is well known to buyers, sellers and the property industry on a national basis, so we get more enquiries and more referrals than any other local company. We advertise extensively in the Cape Property papers and are often quoted by them. We advertise locally, we mail drop in the valley and we are here, on the internet. In addition we are members of NRN (National Referral Network), which is a collaborative network of top independent estate agencies in all areas in South Africa, with strong international referral links in the UK, Europe and USA.

The 21 Year Test

We know Hout Bay like the backs of our hands, so the help we can give is the best - informed, concerned, effective. And we have sold over 2000 properties since 1988, more than any other agency in Hout Bay
EVER!

Please compare this formula for success with that of our competitors!
